Our People
National Competitiveness Council members are appointed by the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Innovation. Members give their time voluntarily and do not receive fees for their participation in the Council.
The current membership includes:
- Representatives of the employer and trade union social partnership pillars
- People with relevant expertise in competitiveness
- A representative of the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Innovation
- The Chief Executive of Forfás
Representatives from the Departments of the Taoiseach,
Communications, Energy & Natural Resources, Education and Skills, Environment, Heritage & Local Government, Finance, Tourism, Culture & Sport and Transport, as well as a representative from InterTradeIreland attend Council meetings in an advisory capacity.
