Our People
National Competitiveness Council members are appointed by the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation. Members give their time voluntarily and do not receive fees for their participation in the Council.
The current membership includes:
- Representatives of the employer and trade union social partnership pillars
- People with relevant expertise in competitiveness
- A representative of the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation
- The Chief Executive of Forfás
Representatives from the Departments of the Taoiseach, Agriculture, Fisheries and Food,
Communications, Energy & Natural Resources, Education and Skills, Environment, Heritage & Local Government, Finance, Transpor, Tourism and Sport as well as a representative from InterTradeIreland attend Council meetings in an advisory capacity.
